Nicholas Bruni ’18, Adam Foley ’18, Anthony Graziano ’18, and Patrick Wroth ’18 recently placed third in the intercollegiate Adirondack Cup! The program, run by New York’s Adirondack Funds, is an initiative through which college and graduate students from participating universities throughout New York and New England can create their own hypothetical stock portfolio for six months.

This was the first time that Stonehill participated in the Adirondack Cup.

According to the team, their success was a direct result of anticipating specific sectors that they believed would gain market share after the 2016 presidential election results. Two of the most successful companies in their portfolio were H&E Equipment Services, Inc. and CenterState Banks, Inc. All of the sectors included in their portfolio were services, technology, basic materials, financial, and utilities, all providing a positive return.
