Orientation is a key step in your transition from high school to college. You’ll meet your new classmates, become familiar with our academic programs and select fall classes.

Stonehill hosts two summer orientation sessions.* In May you will receive an orientation mailing chock-full of forms and additional information, and you'll be notified which session you'll attend:

  • Session I: June 24–25
  • Session II: June 27–28

* Participation in Orientation Session I provides no advantage in class assignments. Classes are not finalized until after Session II, and students will receive their schedules on or about August 17.

Resident students will need to log in to MyHill (login credentials are emailed in early May) and complete the online Housing Application by July 1.

Students may request specific roommates, but we recommend living with someone you don’t know in order to expand your social network on campus. The housing application includes a lifestyle survey to assist us in making roommate assignments, which are finalized in August.

Hill Card/Meal Plans

The Hill Card, your student ID, is used to access residence halls and other campus resources. It is also used to purchase food through the meal plan and can be loaded with funds (online or in person) for other purchases on and off campus.

In May you’ll get information about the Hill Card as well as how to upload the photo you’d like to have on your Hill Card. Hill Cards are issued when students arrive on campus in August.

Health Form Deadline

Incoming students need to complete the Health and Immunization Report by July 1. The form will be sent in May, but students are encouraged to check with their physicians well in advance to ensure they are up to date with their immunizations.

Health Insurance

Students will need to enroll in a Stonehill-endorsed health insurance plan or provide proof of a comparable health insurance plan. Students can complete the insurance waiver between July 15 and August 15. A link to fill out the waiver will be posted here when available. For more information, contact Stonehill Health Services at 508-565-1307.

The Stonehill Commuter Council is a student-run club designed to support commuter students. The Student Government Association also has commuter representation. More details will be provided at orientation.
