Think.Act.Lead.

Stonehill offers many ways to grow your ability to lead in ways authentic to your goals and values. Think. Act. Lead. brings it all together. It is an overarching philosophy and program that helps students make the right choices among the countless academic, professional, personal and spiritual development opportunities available on campus. The program engages each student along a path of success through individualized attention, meaningful feedback and conversation, and opportunities for self-reflection.

  • Think.

From the moment you arrive on campus, you will be engaged in thoughtful conversations that will inspire and encourage you to explore and articulate who you are. Each first-year student is connected with a faculty advisor and encouraged to seek out a diverse group of mentors who can help establish academic, professional, personal and spiritual goals.

  • Act.

Stonehill helps first-year students create a four-year action plan that allows you to pursue evolving interests, discuss and reflect on your experiences in meaningful ways, and determine what steps should be taken next. The path is constructed with intentionality, allowing you to better understand and visualize the possibilities ahead, and how specific goals can be achieved.

  • Lead.

This deliberate, evaluative and strategic process is critical in preparing you for life after Stonehill. Over time, the acquisition of skills, qualifications, competencies and confidence enables you to seek out and assume positions of leadership. The outcome is that by senior year, you are fully prepared for the continuation of your chosen paths beyond graduation.

Leadership and Professional Development

Stonehill provides leadership programs that contribute to student's academic and co-curricular success.

  • Anchors Leadership Program

The Anchors Leadership Program is a comprehensive approach toward cultivating every Stonehill student’s leadership potential. It consists of components that purposefully engages students on an individual, group and community level.

  • Disney Leadership Experience

This program combines on-campus sessions with leadership strategy workshops at Walt Disney World in Florida. Students engage through group learning and individual sessions, participate in experiential activities in the Disney Theme Parks, and develop an action plan for accomplishing their student leader and career goals.

  • IDEAS

Integrating Democratic Education at Stonehill (IDEAS) is an interdisciplinary, student-centered program that fosters engagement and active learning by creating an environment for students to share their passions, wisdom and knowledge with one another through student-led courses.

  • Student Government

Stonehill College Student Government Association (SGA) serves as the voice for undergraduate students. SGA members work on behalf of the student body to enhance the Stonehill experience and serve in a number of elected and appointed leadership positions.

  • ABS Leadership Program

Advocates for a Brighter Stonehill (ABS) are current Stonehill students who serve as advocates and resources to underrepresented students as well as students who have an interest in diversity and activism. They serve as "ambassadors" to Intercultural Affairs and are the lead facilitators of the Intercultural Experience Program.

  • Leadership Through Diversity

Leadership Through Diversity is a program designed for first-year students who want to be engaged in the development of an inclusive campus community and expand their leadership skills.

The Moreau Honors Program generally draws its members from applicants whose high school experiences demonstrate strong academic, extracurricular, service and leadership qualities. An active and close-knit community, highly motivated to succeed in matters of both the mind and heart, Moreau Honors students take control over their learning as they uncover new interests and develop new skills.

Alumni, faculty and students gathered to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the College’s Moreau Honors Program.
